Contemporary Candles is a home-based business in Illinois, and we take pride in every candle we produce!

What began as a love of candles grew from interest in how they were made, to a hobby, and quickly to a business. We spend hours testing everything that goes into our candles...wax, scents, wicks and how they all go together.


The Contemporary Candles team consists of Dave and Wendi, and we each have our 'specialties'. Most pillars and our crystal wax melts are Dave's domain, while Wendi takes care of container candles and bath/body products. We both make votives and share the duties on our novelty candles and favors. Dave is the person who packs your order with such care, and Wendi handles all invoicing, paperwork and website updates.

We're both hearing-impaired, which is why we can't take phone inquiries. However, email, internet and fax communication pose no problem at all! We'd love to hear from you!
